Happy Birthday to Kenny Anderson, Guest Blogger at ClassicAthletes.com
Kenny Anderson, a former Queens playground legend and Georgia Tech star, turns 37 years old today. After a successful 14-year career in the NBA, most notably with the New Jersey Nets, Portland Trailblazers and the Boston Celtics, Anderson will begin his first year as Head Coach of the Atlanta Krunk, a Continental Basketball Association (CBA) team that will begin its inaugural season on November 16th. It’s only fitting that Anderson, who helped guide Georgia Tech to the Final Four in 1990 and played for the Hawks in his final NBA season, is back in Atlanta.
Anderson will be detailing his first-year experiences as a Head Coach throughout the season at our affiliate, ClassicAthletes.com, beginning next week on October 15th. Be sure to tune in for Anderson’s insight on the CBA as the former great point guard begins a coaching career that he hopes leads him to the sidelines of the NBA.
