NOCE-ADAMUS OR THIS GUY?

Bulls’ small forward Andres Nocioni is predicting a Chicago victory over the Pistons in seven games during this second round playoff clash. That’s right. The fiery Argentine has the Bulls beating the Pistons on their home floor in a do-or-die final. I guess Nocioni said that the Bulls would beat the Heat in five or six games prior to the four game sweep through Pat Riley’s thinning hair.
Pistons’ big man Antonio McDyess has scoffed at Nocioni’s big words and said that the playoffs are much different than the regular season. The Bulls took three out of four from Detroit during the regular season.
I can’t remember a Bull making such claims since Scott Williams proclaimed after a split of the first four games against the Knicks during the 1994 playoffs that the Bulls would steal a game in New York and win the series. And we all knew what happened after that.
The Bulls got jobbed in Game Five at Madison Square Garden when Hue Hollins called a phantom foul at the end of the game on Scottie Pippen after he contested a three-point shot by Hubert Davis. The Bulls would take Game Six a couple of nights later in the last playoff game at the Chicago Stadium (best remembered for Pippen serving up a nasty facial on Patrick Ewing) before the dream of a fourth-straight championship would come to an end. The Knicks prevailed in Game 7 at the Garden despite the efforts of current Bulls assistant coach Pete Myers, the “air apparent” to Michael Jordan who went something like 6-for-6 from the field in that game. Here’s hoping that Nocioni’s prediction has a better ending. One more thing, is the NBA ever going to announce what time Game One is going to start on Saturday?
