And when Noah stumbled out of the gates, struggling to stay on his feet at times and looking like he had no clue on both ends early in the season, it seemed even more likely that Noah was going to be just another Bulls’ draft pick to disappoint in this decade. But then the light bulb seemed to turn on for Noah in the middle of the season, and all of a sudden, he started to look like the energetic player he was while at Florida in 2006. A key component to Chicago’s late surge into the postseason, Noah raised his game in the playoffs, playing a wonderful series against the defending champion Boston Celtics and inspiring hope that he’s figuring out not only how to play in this league but how to be effective.
