FABRICIO OBERTO AND FRANCISCO ELSON VERSUS ZYDRUNAS ILGAUSKAS
Ilgauskas is wearing down but can still be effective. He is at his best getting garbage tip-ins. Cleveland would be smart to get him a few touches on the block early and see if they can get him some early points. Ilgauskas can still give you some big-scoring nights but has a hard time doing so consistently. He will have to spend time on Duncan and could be in foul trouble all series.
Since David Robinson left, the Spurs have employed a philosophy of surrounding Duncan with big men who are bangers and nothing special. Oberto has some skill and can hit the short-range, baseline jumper but is out there to body guys and take some of the physical burden off of Duncan. The Spurs will also bring in Francisco Elson, who is nothing but a foul waiting to happen.
Advantage: Even
Big Z would have gotten this nod against a lot of teams, but the Spurs have enough big guys to body him.
